LineUp AI is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use the LineUp AI app and website, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.

Information We Collect

Account information

• Email address — used to create your account, send confirmation emails, and allow password reset.
• Username — the display name you choose within the app.
• Password — stored as a one-way hash. We never store or see your plain-text password.

Fantasy league data

• League information — league name, ESPN or Sleeper league ID, season year, team count, and scoring settings. Synced from ESPN or Sleeper when you connect a league.
• Team and roster data — team names, owner names, win/loss records, standings, and player roster assignments. Synced from your fantasy platform.
• ESPN authentication cookies (private leagues only) — if you connect a private ESPN league, we store your espn_s2 and SWID session cookies. These are encrypted at rest and are only used to sync your private league data with ESPN's API. They are never shared with any third party other than ESPN. ESPN session cookies expire periodically and may need to be refreshed. Public ESPN leagues and all Sleeper leagues require no login credentials — only a league ID is needed.

AI chat history

• Chat messages — your questions and the AI's responses are stored so you can review past conversations in the app. Chat history can be deleted by you at any time from within the app.

Waitlist data

• Email address and IP address — collected if you signed up for the waitlist before the app launched. IP addresses are used only to prevent abuse.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To sync your fantasy league, team, and roster data from ESPN or Sleeper.
• To provide AI-powered fantasy football advice personalized to your roster.
• To store your chat history so you can reference past conversations.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
• To prevent abuse and maintain the security of the service.

Third-Party Services

• ESPN — league sync requests are sent to ESPN's API on your behalf. For private leagues only, encrypted session credentials are used solely to retrieve your league data from ESPN's API. Public ESPN leagues are synced without any credentials — only the league ID is used. ESPN credentials are never used for any purpose beyond syncing your league.
• Sleeper — league sync requests are sent to Sleeper's public API. No credentials are required or stored for Sleeper leagues.
• AI inference provider — AI chat responses are generated by a third-party language model provider. Your chat messages (including roster context) are sent to that provider to generate responses. We do not send your email, account credentials, or ESPN cookies to the AI provider. The current provider may change without notice; this policy will reflect any material change.
• Cloud infrastructure — our backend and database are hosted on a third-party cloud provider. Your data is stored on their managed infrastructure.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Ever.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data tied to it — your leagues, roster data, chat history, and ESPN credentials — is permanently deleted within 30 days. NFL player statistics are shared across all users and contain no personal information, so they are not deleted.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Go to Account → Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

You can also request deletion by emailing us at support@lineupaifantasy.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

You can delete individual chat conversations from within the app at any time.

Children's Privacy

LineUp AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We protect your data in the following ways:

• Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and never in plain text.
• ESPN session cookies are encrypted at rest.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
• Database access is restricted to the LineUp AI backend service.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Using the app after that date means you accept the updated policy.
